Privacy Policy

Last updated: 17 August 2026 · Version 1.0

This policy explains how TestPrep LLC. collects, uses and protects personal information when you use igcsetutoring.com, make an enquiry, or receive tutoring services. It is written in plain English; if anything is unclear, please contact us at info@testprepeurope.com.

1. Who we are

2. Scope of this policy

This policy applies to:

  • visitors to igcsetutoring.com;
  • students who receive, or may receive, tutoring through us;
  • parents and guardians acting on behalf of students;
  • prospective customers and people who request a consultation;
  • customers who purchase tutoring services; and
  • anyone who contacts us by email, phone, WhatsApp or through this website.

3. Personal data we may collect

We collect only the information we genuinely need. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:

Identity and contact data

Name, email address, telephone or WhatsApp number, and country of residence.

Student information

Where voluntarily supplied: year group, IGCSE subjects, exam board, current academic level or grade, target grade, learning goals and lesson preferences. Because our students are often under 18, this educational information may relate to a child; we treat it with particular care, as described in the Children's privacy section.

Enquiry and communication data

The content of contact-form submissions, consultation requests, emails, WhatsApp or telephone communications, and customer-support correspondence.

Technical data

IP address, browser type, device information, operating system, referral information and security logs, to the extent processed by our hosting infrastructure to deliver and secure the website.

Usage data

Aggregate information about how the website is used — only to the extent permitted by your cookie choices. Analytics is off unless you enable it.

Transaction data

If you purchase tutoring services, we keep records of the services agreed and related correspondence. If payments are taken through an external payment provider, your payment card details are processed by that provider — TestPrep LLC. does not store complete card information.

4. Where your data comes from

We obtain personal information:

  • directly from you;
  • from a parent or guardian acting on a student's behalf;
  • through the consultation and contact forms on this website;
  • through your communications with us (email, phone, WhatsApp);
  • automatically, through strictly necessary technologies that make the website work; and
  • through optional analytics technologies, only where legally permitted and you have consented.

We do not buy personal data from third parties or data brokers.

5. Purposes and lawful bases

We process personal data only where applicable data protection law allows it. The table below sets out our purposes, the data involved and the lawful bases we rely on. We do not treat consent as a default basis, and we do not use legitimate interests as a blanket justification.

6. Children's privacy

Many IGCSE students are under 18, and protecting their information matters to us.

  • Where appropriate, we ask that parents or guardians make enquiries and provide information on behalf of younger students. Our consultation form is designed with parent/guardian participation in mind.
  • We request only the information reasonably necessary to arrange and deliver tutoring. We do not intentionally request unnecessary or sensitive information from children.
  • Parental or guardian involvement may be required depending on the student's age and the law that applies where the student lives. Age thresholds for digital consent differ between European jurisdictions, so we assess this case by case rather than assuming a single age applies everywhere.
  • Information about students is used solely to arrange, deliver and improve their tutoring.

If you believe a child has provided us information without appropriate parental or guardian involvement, contact us at info@testprepeurope.com and we will address it promptly.

7. How long we keep data

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for:

  • providing the services you have requested;
  • managing our relationship with you;
  • meeting legal and accounting requirements;
  • handling any disputes; and
  • keeping our systems secure.

When personal data is no longer needed for these purposes, we delete or anonymise it.

8. Who we share data with

We do not sell personal data. We share personal information only where necessary to run the service, with categories of recipients such as:

  • tutors involved in delivering your lessons (only the information they need to teach effectively);
  • hosting and infrastructure providers that operate this website;
  • communications and email service providers we use to correspond with you;
  • customer-relationship tools, if and when adopted;
  • payment processors, if and when online payments are introduced;
  • analytics providers, only where you have consented;
  • professional advisers (lawyers, accountants) where necessary; and
  • public authorities where the law requires it.

Providers currently used to operate this website:

  • Vercel Inc.Website hosting and infrastructure; consent-gated web analytics (United States (global edge network)).

9. International transfers

TestPrep LLC. is established in the United States and has a regional office in Türkiye, while many of our students and their families are in the EEA or the UK. Service providers we use may also operate internationally. Personal information may therefore be transferred between these locations.

Where personal information is transferred internationally, we use the safeguards required by applicable data protection law. Depending on the transfer, these may include adequacy decisions where applicable, appropriate contractual safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses where required, or other valid legal transfer mechanisms.

10. Your privacy rights

Depending on your circumstances and the law that applies to you (including the GDPR and UK GDPR where relevant), you may have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have your data erased;
  • restrict how we process your data;
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests;
  • receive your data in a portable format;
  • withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent; and
  • lodge a complaint with an appropriate supervisory authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email info@testprepeurope.com. We will respond within the timescales required by applicable law, and we will never make exercising your rights unnecessarily difficult.

11. Automated decision-making

We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects. Tutor matching is carried out by our team, not by an algorithm.

12. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, input validation on our forms, and minimising what we collect and log in the first place. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information appropriately for the risk involved.

13. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to run the website, and optional analytics cookies only with your consent. Full details of every cookie, and controls for changing your choices, are in our Cookie Policy. You can reopen your preferences at any time via “Cookie Settings” in the footer.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to bring them to your attention, and where the change affects cookie consent you will be asked to make your choices again.
